Great and subtle mods but where do you get your energy from

Love the mods you are doing to these cars. Hope you don't mind copying, I'm not very creative!

So I decided to fit some Daytime Running Lights, but was spoiled for ideas.
This one started off a possibility but stuck out a bit far so was scrapped:

So I decided on some of these "eagle eyes" instead

Originally I fitted two per side in the blanking plate by the fog light,

They were bright , even in daytime as can be seen here:

Anyway my son G8JKA copied me.... :wtf: but fitted 3 per side and made his flush, so I was not happy..
But, after stripping them apart and fitting them flush, mine are now like that too....

Hi I like the idea, as I have been considering daytime running lights for some time. Where did you source your LED's from and where did you wire them up to? Have you any pics. Is there anything you would have done differently.
I did at one time think how I could incorporate into the side markers.
My car is a 2.2 2002

Also love the trunk lid lift around the keyed push botton. always trying to lift it without putting fingerprints. So always grabbing at the corner by the taillights. Never seen one of those.

They are standard on the facelift but can be retrofitted to the mk1 but you need to enlarge the hole.

After getting a bit weary of the harshness of large wheels, poly bushes and coilovers, I decided on a complete suspension change back to struts and progressive rate springs..

I went with new Sachs gas Struts and Eibachs

The Eibachs were from Poland, came very quickly and were only £157.
The front struts cost £133 for the two
Rears £90 for the two including new Meyle heavy duty top mounts

Meyle front top mounts x two cost £40

I then changed the front spring pads, washers, MSport bump stops, spring plates, and sleeves etc, which cost another £84 from BMW.
All in cost £504.

Now a bit more body roll, but certainly more forgiving over bumps, and my fillings were still in my teeth after the first drives

The only thing I should have got was the rear spring upper and lower pads, So I will order some and replace, as these were a bit squished.

I changed mine back over from coilovers to shocks and springs a couple of months ago whilst he sat there and watched. Then decided he would do the same to his.
