Well my quad setup started to rattle inside because it has got a loose baffle, and also the factory fit middle silencer was getting a bit crusty looking
So I fancied a change, to get a different sound and also a slightly different look.
I wanted a Yocky style one with a split pipe after the cat, but the guy at the custom exhaust place said that was not really necessary, and by fitting a single Duplex box it would get the sound I wanted.

So he fitted the below, cat back , I had the middle silencer removed, and I decided on a set of black iridescent tips instead of the chrome ones, to give a different look.

The exhaust note has changed to a growl now, not that the old one was nasty, however it was quite loud.

Looks great, is that a splitter on the front, where did you get it from ? Regards Steve
Sorry just spotted this
The front splitter is just a rubber trim as from here:

Little update, fitted some different DTM style angel eyes
These have a lens in front of the led's similar to modern BMW headlights.
I fitted these in front of the inner lenses this time around:

Really pleased with them:

In my opinion, this is the shape Z3 angel eyes should have always been, with a flat bottom to match the flat bottom lenses.
I have fitted the horseshoe ones loads of times in the past.

details of the build here:

MOT passed this morning, no advisories,
and no issue with the new DTM angel eyes, in front of the lens

I did cheat a bit though, by using the Z4 wheels, as 2 of my tyres are soon due a change, and didn't want to risk those as advisories.

Next time just put your plate on my car and you won't need to worry about any advisories.

Not car tinkering, but more a surface for it (and me) to sit on,

Used some 5mm coin rubber flooring, It came on 3 rolls

Its really heavy too.

I scraped the old paint off the floor and glued it down:

and black silicon sealed all the edges

the rubber smell is fading now,
I have some thin pieces of ply to use under the trolley jack, the axle stands and the tilting lift, so it doesn't damage the surface

It is insulation from the cold concrete, and is comfortably cushioned enough to kneel on too,
Cleans easy with the small leaf blower, then just a wipe with quick detailer on the sponge mop..

Well pleased.

Really like that Pete, I do need to do something with the floor in my garage at some point.

Tony.

ps. I acquired some thick rubber strips last week but that's another story.
