It does pick up fairly well but not as it should. It's the bottom end. There's nothing at all unless you slip the clutch a bit to get it going. There isn't any noise.
Any news or progress?

Sorry Ian yes! It's dropped an injector, leaking like a siv it is. Looks like a second is beginning to weep. Need to make a decision on what to do. The quotes are eye watering. We bought a Sorento as they have a good right up. This one has been nothing but bother. Injectors down, prop/drive rumble and a quite bad oil leak which is yet to be investigated. Considering letting it go and going again with something else. Maybe an X5.

Sorry to hear that. It's disheartening when you get a rogue car. Difficult to know how to avoid it. Hope you find an X5 that does the job.

OK soooooooooo it goes like this!. My neighbour collared me earlier today and spoke to me about Jues kia. He has said its to good a car to let go and having no further funds to add to replace it is worried we will end up with something else full of issues. He has offered to do all the required work for me if I get the parts sorted out. I've purchased an injector second hand which he is going to fit and code (if required) first to get it running properly. He thinks the leak is diesel running down the back of the block from the leaking injector so will cure that at the same time. Once that's done he's going to remove the prop and get to the bottom of the drive rumble. He thinks it's the donut anyway but to be sure he can do a full investigation and then I can order the required parts. I will help him and watch over to learn as I try to do when I go over to Tonys. I have a happy wife as she does like the car and she usually runs her cars for years but we'd both just got to the end of our tether with this one. There are some really good people about who offer there services to help others not so mechanically minded. @t-tony @Lee @GazHyde @Russell O and others plus now my neighbour who other than talking to me over the fence about it I've never asked him for any help. Big thanks to all you kind folks!
Cheers
Grumps.

Neighbours who come to the rescue unasked are a godsend. increasingly rare these days.
Hope it all gets fixed and Jue is back on the road soon.

Yeah bit surprised Ian to be honest. We didn't get on at all when they bought the house next door about 3 years ago. We have got on a lot better recently. Looking back now I'm unsure it's ever ran properly. Hopefully the injector will come out easily and all will be good in the world!

OK update. My neighbour tonight has changed the injector. The old one came straight out no problem and the new one in. Didn't need coding and the car is running superbly. All the power is back and believe it or not it's cured the rumble which we'd all decided was prop related! I can't believe it! Neighbour says it's because the car was running on 3 cylinders and was struggling causing the entire car to vibrate.
Just need to get all the underside steam cleaned now due to large amounts of diesel running down the back of the block. (Any ideas who does that?)
Cheers for now.

A happy for once Grumpy! :)

Get yerself a couple of aerosols of de-greaser and give it good spray, then borrow a power washer and blast it off Dave. Preferably on your next door neighbours drive.=)) No, but seriously, do you have a truck wash bay at work?

Tony.

You must have these in the UK? They have high pressure jets that spray the underside of the car.
Not that I'm aware of. Don't normally use them tho mate.

Thanks mate. It's a huge relief. And to kill all the problems in one hit is a massive bonus. Jue is a very happy bunny. She may even give it a wash again!
