Quick update on the daily shed... 2200 miles in the last 5 weeks and hasn't skipped a beat. It's been averaging 52.5mpg so far which works out roughly as £300 in real money, which is almost a third of what I paid for the car! :D

It's a capable little thing if kept in the right gear, never going to win any races but it's perfectly at home on the A34 & M4. Such a good little commuter.

Next up will be getting my son some insurance so he can have some extra driving practice in it to supplement his lessons. :bag:

Nice one. Not taking your son out in the Z4 for some lessons then ;)

4 1/2 months in and 6,500 miles added, and it's still as strong as ever. Didn't skip a beat on a 400 mile round trip to Manc a week back. Now sitting just under 170,000 miles and averaging 54mpg, and I've so far saved about £820 of the £950 I paid for it in fuel costs. Technically if I include the expense claim for the mileage to Manc, then I have recouped the whole purchase price, so the car doesn't owe me anything at all now. Free driving :D

Sadly it does need some money spent on it now. Looks like I need a new plastic cap for the radiator tank. If the expenses keep racking up like this, I'm not really sure what to do =))

Frustratingly right hand indication doesn't cancel itself anymore, so I now have to do that. Other than that, she's proven a great investment so far...

There has to be a tipping point. Thinking maybe when it gets to needing some new tyres perhaps, although the tyres that were on it are probably good for another 4k or so!

Tipping point to what? Run the thing till it dies mate. It owes you nothing. I have every intention on keeping my focus till the last wheel falls off!

You'll have to keep a close eye on these expenditures Gary, before you know it it will owe you big time;)
