Quite neat Tony, how bright are the lights?
Hard to say how bright they are, but bright enough to catch the eye which is the point but not too bright to be a nuisance at dark.
I still have a pair in the packaging so I’ll see if it gives any details.

looks like they will do the job. You’ve adapted them quite neatly, suite the car.

First real outing in my e85 since taking off Tony's hands last Sept, just under 300mls round trip including a divert trip because normal cafe was closed. The pics of Tony's e89 really don't do it justice, you have to see it in the flesh to see the difference the stripe and lower grill mods make, adding those great thin DRL's into those left and right fins imo look the dogs. Great to see Tony and Sherl again but must admit the drive up and back really took it out of me, lifting a front wheel back on didn't help either after crawling around under both sides of the car but still enjoyed being of some small help. Got home and fell into my armchair and was out for the count from 16.45hrs-23.00hrs then bed. Car went up and back just like you would expect a new one to, but a puncture day before nearly cost me the trip with picking up a screw (which I immediately recognised) off my garage floor, after spilling box of bits last week didn't check garage floor well enough.

Making some eyebrows for the headlights today.
They've had a light coat of clear coat to give a "satin" finish.
I'll get them fitted tomorrow.

First job today was tapping into the boot light for the rear safety lights.
These double as a "boot open" warning.
Ask me how I know?
Next thing was fitting the headlight eyebrows..
And lastly the wrap I put on the front bumper got a light coat of clear coat.
I need to get the Smart Top roof module fitted now.

Yeh yeh, I know how you know about the boot open lights. Someone stopped me and said think your boot might be open cos there’s more red light coming out your boot than they put on Trafalgar Square Christmas tree. ( thought it looked better with boot open????? )
And, speaking of lights, why do BMW always give you such poor reversing lights and boot lights.
I got some 10W LED bulbs for the reversing lights and fitted those today.
Direct like for like replacement which even in daylight inside the garage you can see a big improvement.
The boot light got the same treatment. Original 5W incandescent bulb.
And the 9 SMD LED 10W replacement. Much better.
I need some warm weather to get the callipers off for painting.

Thats a job I want to do, certainly the boot light (my plastic cover gets HOT) and you're right about the reversing lights too.
You dont get them off Amazon do you, he asked, hoping for a link (I haven't investigated which part numbers are a match to order)
