It could be a great Youtube project for the guys at Bad Obsession Motorsport if they hadn't been so damn busy with their GT Four Mini Binky project for ages...

Hey I had an Imp back in the day, mine was a Roger Nathan Racing tuned car and was a real Cooper S killer, those little Coventry Climax (OK water pump) engines could be really fettled. Not to F40 standards though.

Oh and I think the IPR of the F40 design probably resides with Farrari.
I am mentally scared with the Imp engine, my first foray into the motor trade working at a Routes dealer in the Parts department. Located just down the road to what was RAF Finningley, every Saturday morning the boys from the RAF motoring club would come in for bits for there kit cars, Clan crusaders etc. The worst when wanting tappet shims took about an hour to serve each one for a 50p sale.
Don't disagree it was a cracking engine, just something in my past left a scar.

Sorry to go off topic :offtopic:

as car sos bid for it yet ?
one of the bidders is private, a private bidder is the guy who is going to try and make money by relisting panels, he is private as he doesn't want future customers seeing how much he paid for the original:) or he plans on relisting either on ebay or a kitcar forum.

Spoke to a nice guy today from Notts that builds custom cars, mainly Porsche based, he really knows his stuff and wants the shell as do many others, He said he will have it on the road in six months if he wins the auction but thinks its going to go for crazy money.

I've seen the burgundy one in the flesh on the London to Brighton kit and sports car run and it's very nice.

I see the bidding has reached quite a serious level now. This is better than any cliffhanger at the movies :)

Best example I've seen that proves the old theory ....... "One mans rubbish is another mans treasure"

the next problem will be - will they actually pay the selling price?

There are quite a few over seas bidders which concerns me, its not all mine, we did a deal at 50/50 his words where you can have 50% after all 50% of nothing is still nothing, I think this is bitter sweet for him :D

Its actually going towards a hot tub for my daughter as we are hoping it will help for her condition
