Thats a great Idea, I'll try and tag them on FBI reckon you should send an email to the Grand Tour producers. That would be a right life seeing them finish that off then doing a journey with it. Your handywork could become immortal!
Its had over 2000 hits and has 160 watchers and the messages have gone madhey its going well, recon it will finish at around £600, can we start a sweepstake with the molds maybe more.
Nahh its got to go I'm afraid mate,I wold suggest ending the listing and cancelling bids, then use what you have to make more panels and sell them on ebay.
And just why would he want to do that?......Maybe @DutchScorpion would like to give it a go?? JIM
I've had a few custom companies enquire mate so it may well come out in kit form, I am getting unindated with questionsUnfortunate @Sean d as i''m sure there'd be a market for kit!! Maybe @DutchScorpion would like to give it a go?? JIM
I keep coming back to the thought that there's a world of difference between selling a set of panels that look like an F40 and selling the rights to produce those panels. In other words be careful you don't sell the thing for £500 and then see someone make £10,000s off your hardwork designing and sculpting it in the first place.I've had a few custom companies enquire mate so it may well come out in kit form, I am getting unindated with questions
Hey I had an Imp back in the day, mine was a Roger Nathan Racing tuned car and was a real Cooper S killer, those little Coventry Climax (OK water pump) engines could be really fettled. Not to F40 standards though.Somebody somewhere rescue this, but don't put an Hillman Imp engine in it
The IPR would be on the design of the moulds and the attachment to the donor vehicle. Not the shape of the car.Oh and I think the IPR of the F40 design probably resides with Farrari.
this is why he is getting bombarded with messages and questions, it will be a good earner for the right person, hopefully there is more than one of these people watching then there will be a bidding war, yehhhI keep coming back to the thought that there's a world of difference between selling a set of panels that look like an F40 and selling the rights to produce those panels. Perhaps you'll just be glad to see it gone. But you might also think about adding a note to the auction saying it's the panels/body only for sale. You are including the moulds only to produce replacement panels for personal use. The intellectual property right (IPR) of the design and the right to produce and sell panel sets for personal gain is for sale for an additional sum.
The rights to the design should be worth many times what your single body shell is.
Just a thought, don't know all the ins and outs of IPR.
