Thought you also might like a view of the interior!

I felt some fear when I viewed this picture:

It reminded me of driving over there, but particularly the oddity of the angle of viewing traffic in the rear view mirror. You never think of it until you have to do it, but it really throws you off seeing the traffic behind you from the reverse angle. Perhaps the analogy would be like doing something while looking directly at it as opposed to doing it while viewing it in a mirror. It is analogous in the respect that you feel that its happening in reverse. The fear part of it comes in when you realize your reactions to what you're viewing MUST BE CORRECT or you're in trouble. If not, you hurt yourself and perhaps someone else at the same time. You HAVE TO BE RIGHT the first time. It was scary for me!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Ask Rev if I was always right the first time.

Hmm. When I drive abroad I don't look at the mirror, I look at the reflection in it and so it doesn't faze me at all. What I do have trouble with is remembering to go around roundabouts the opposite way to the U.K.! The first time I drove abroad was on a scooter in Ibiza in 1969, and I the first roundabout I came to, Yup, I went around it the same way as in the U.K.! There was a policeman on the roundabout and he made me go all the way back round and do it properly!.......... Ah those were the days, scootering to San Sebastian or Ibiza town from Es Cana with our friends for the evening, and arriving back at the hotel as the sun rose the following morning!:joyful:

Don't you have all the mirrors focused on yourself Bonzo? Would make it hard to drive anywhere, I'd imagine.

Frankie, you survived!! I thought the RHD in my car would be difficult but not a problem so it seems. I think what you did though would have caused me some aggravation for sure. It would have been better if we had been able to make the trip together and keep both sets of eyes on the road. Then you went cold turkey and drove hours after being up for so long which couldn't have helped. BUT YOU DID IT BUD!! Next time will be a snap.

If you were with me, you wouldn't have survived. Its one thing to be driving and know you could probably react positively to most given situations and survive. Its quite another thing to have someone else driving, know they're in trouble and have to place your life in their hands. The stress of watching a potential accident about to unfold and just have to sit there would have driven you nuts. Frankie. ASK BMG!!!!!!!!!

I had someone say I must be loaded, ...... "driving around in your expensive sportscar"
I told him he could pick one up cheap, he said he didn't have 40 grand lying about, he didnt believe it was not brand new til I showed him the date under the bonnet.
Is that where you keep her? I prefer little ones that fit in the trunk( boot) JIM

Going back to Rev's original post if I may. I was leaving Lincoln on my way home from work one evening at a crawl as is Carholme Rd. At peak times and as I went past a bus stop at walking pace 2 young ladies who were waiting at a bus stop both called out to me" Nice car mate" which made my day.

I dropped the eldest off at school yesterday, three different groups of lads all shouted "awesome car mate", later when she got home, she told me the teacher on the gate grilled her about the owner of the car and then said walking off "tell him it's one hell of a car Evans"

Made my day twice

I don't mind him doing it to you Zedonist, as you can fight your corner.
Its new members first posts that bonzo has to stay away from with his 'humor'.
It causes unnecessary agro for Admin with PM's going backwards and forwards and people getting the wrong impression of the forum before they have even had a chance to get involved.
