Very nice wheels but a real bi*** to clean, especially if you need to use your brakes a bit.

I think I use my brakes a big bit! But cleaning Zelda is a pleasure, not a chore. We talk to each other you know. But not like BMG to his dogs.:D

Interesting to know! You talk to Zelda as well as have in depth conversations with your private parts. Have you tried human contact lately? Perhaps it's time for you to take the plunge and put on your wellies and visit the nearest farm. I think you'll do well!!
Unfortunately there are very few sheep in Canada that I could have contact with and I've not felt the need to seek them out. JIM

Ha, I thought that pic would garner a few 'beige; related comments.:D However, to me, the interior is like sitting in a Gentlemen's Club, a restful, relaxing, a reassuring air of traditional values of wood and leather. Perhaps it's a generation thing, but garish colours are not for me! As someone once said, "Something of class, quality and taste never needs to shout out to be appreciated by people with those same qualities."

Nurses don't come into it.

(It might spoil the leather seats)

Gentlemens club, where old farts dressed in tartan and tweeds sit and sleep in haze of smoke and their own urine, yep describes that interior perfectly.......,

I had to go and pick up my daughters friend today and I agreed to meet her mother to collect her at a Petrol station.

I was early and there was a hand car wash there. The Z4 was in dire need of a wash and although I normally wouldn't I decided to have it done.

When they were finished the guy turned to me and said.. "Is it new"... My chest puffed out as I explained to him it was eight years old and I keep it all buffed up myself. He said that he couldn't believe it as it was in such nice condition.

I have to say they did a really good job as well.

I left a small tip!

:)

Anyone else had a similar experience that brightened their day?
The first time I drove the Z3 was when I picked it up from the former owner. I needed gas so I stopped at the gas station. As I got out of the car, another car pulled up on the other side of the pump island. A very pretty girl got out of the car and looked over at my car and said what a beautiful car it was. I drove home 150 miles and parked it in the driveway and haven't used it since. That was last year. How sad. Frankie

Frankie I remember you saying something like that when you were over.

Why don't you drive it? You'd enjoy it so much.

:)

Frankie, Frankie, you spent way tooooo much time with BMG. You've been infected with nodriveitis. Mine's seen more miles in rain than not and that's without a back window. Get out there boy or make me an offer, I'll come get it. Two people considering mine so may need one soon. JIM

I don't hold it against BMG for not using his car too much. I respect the man. Any drive he takes in his Z is all that more special to him. I'll not say anything against him I won't hurt him. I wouldn't even pee in his dog pool.
I'm actually very close to using it. I just got in the new plastic window in the mail. If I can control my temper while installing it. I'll be on the road in no time. Frankie

I'll tell you what. I'll get the window in, pay the insurance and have it on the road in time to enter a picture for October's picture of the month competition. How's THAT? Frankie on a mission.

And make sure you have help!! I had a close look at mine when I removed it completely still zipped together. I just cut around the stitching that was rotted away. If you watch the video by the supplier and count the teeth on the bottom to find the middle on both sides of the zipper I can't see where you can screw up except if your top frame is out of kilter for some reason. Did you get the German one with the tape or do you need to contact cement it in?? Take your time and think it through and things should work out fine. I'm still looking for a supplier that sell the new top with a zip in but no luck so far. Driving it around with no rear window in the rain isn't the best but the buckets in the back catch most of it. Looking forward to you getting the car on the road. And I wouldn't pee in BMG's pool either. I'm sure he's as fine a gentleman as HT. JIM
