I know what you mean about the Cal, I wonder if they copied MG or the other way around?
Both cars run 2.8's with uprated ECU, 3.0 Inlet manifolds, quad exhaust and decent air intakes (very quick).
Remove the power from the Veglia/ETB clock permanently. At least it will be correct twice a day! =))
No idea why i am laughing as mine also drains down in a couple of days if not run. I have not investigated the voltage drop yet but could be the clock (ETB/Veglia) or i also suspect the audio...
I sympathise Tom, lost my huge workshop/barn (40000 ft sq) recently and my 250 California project has completely ground to a halt to the point of putting it up for sale as all I can find is a crappy lock-up with no power (£117 pm!!!!).
I cannot even sensibly keep the finished 250 SWB I built...
We should bring back capital punishment for these buggers!
1. You will not get the money back by breaking for parts and it is a PITA selling them (ask me how I know).
2. Don't wrap it £2k to paper over the cracks does not seem right to me.
3. £3.5k to re-spray/put right may be the best option...
Thanks for the plug Andy, I will be keeping the Blue one as it is on the road although, it may end up for sale as I do not really want to leave it parked in the middle of Tunbridge Wells and a lock-up garage is costing me £117 pm ouch!!!!
Sadly the 250 Cal is up for sale (the red one in the profile pic not the blue one):

Hi folks
Sadly the Replica 250 California is for Sale. Unfortunately, I have moved home and in the process lost the great workshop facilities I have (the car is there still but I cannot work on it anymore). Now living in central Tunbridge Wells and barely have parking let alone a workshop...
Get it re-mapped or buy an ECU with these altearions built in. I used an off-the-shelf ECU and it has been flawless:

Make sure you tick the correct boxes for the various upgrades.
P.S. Keep the old ECU...
Hi MuttyMax
I did not do the cams but I understand that the 3.0 intake and exhaust cams have an extra 1mm of lift. The Schrick ones are pricey.
Also get in touch with @Lee as he is "the man" for tuning these.
Good luck
