Hi guys. I'm new to this site. This is my last Z3 (Rebodied as s 250swb) which has been sold to a guy in Belgium as I now take on a complete self build of a retromod convertible version of the same model. I'm a complete novice when it comes to working on cars do may be asking for a lot of help and advice.

I tiptoed into Z3 ownership with a 1.9, but the plan is to move on to a better engine, and then finally to something like yours.. I do love my classics, but there's a point where a modern (ish) running gear with a classic looking body becomes more appealing. ;)

Anyway, welcome to the party!

Thank you. I purchased the one in the picture already built but had been abandoned for 2 years, so had to finish it off and get it on the road. It was based on the 2ltr. I'm using the 3ltr as a base for the new build.

Hi.
Thanks for the offer. Never really been a fan of the 250 California myself. A bit too MG looking in my opinion. The Blue one is similar to what I'm building. What engines are you running in those two ?

I know what you mean about the Cal, I wonder if they copied MG or the other way around?

Both cars run 2.8's with uprated ECU, 3.0 Inlet manifolds, quad exhaust and decent air intakes (very quick).
