The photo is just to show the parts. There are two holes in the front of the fastener, you can use a pair of circlip pliers or similar to unscrew them. The photo shows a dedicated tool.
What’s the problem? I also bought these for mine and agree the price is a bit steep. I think you can buy the other part of the Tenax fastener as spares or definitely from eBay it that’s what’s broken.
This is another option. Not used it but have started carrying in my Smart that has a tyre inflator. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/benson-car-tyre-repair-set-27pc-553991400
The thing that gets me with this is the way it’s implemented. We have a ULEZ in Bristol now and a few weeks ago I had to take the Z in by the time I paid for parking 6-12pm £13 poorer before doing anything else. When I went to pay, I expected to enter my reg and be told I entered the ULEZ at 7pm...
That’s who I bought my Z from last year. Good guys to deal with and I wanted an auto, apparently most Japanese imports are auto. My car was standard apart from the Fast and Furious wheels and the eye brows. Only 22k miles but I did have a few age related things to deal with mainly falling rubber...
My 2000 2.8 Facelift Japanese import with 22k was a bit less than that last year from a dealer. It needed a fair amount of re-commissioning due to failing rubber parts and Vanos etc. l looked at it, that I can fix mechanical/electrical issues myself but not bodywork and welding so the lack of...
I don’t think the tape deck works with the Bluetooth adapter that replaces the CD changer. It’s one of the reasons I changed mine. I read that the CD changers aren’t compatible between the two versions because they use different Canbus protocols. The Canbus is definitely involved somewhere...
Hi David, Not sure about everyone else but it was already gone from my car. As you know it’s an import so no contact with the previous owner. It has had an aftermarket headunit at some time. I have found wiring for a reversing camera and either a Dab radio or gps. This was not installed very...
The amp comes with its own loom with ISO connectors. You then need a T connector loom between the headunit and car. I plan to use this one (it has round pins) between the cars loom connector and the adapter loom the Bluetooth kit uses. It should all work but I have not tried it yet. I have used...
I’m in the process of updating mine at the moment. The amp in the left hand footwell had already been removed and bypassed by the previous owner.
My car had the basic six speaker set up and so far I have replaced the footwell and rear speakers. Ran out of time yesterday to change the tweeters...
I’ve just bought one of these and a rear view mirror to experiment with. I want to see if I can change from a IR key (Japanese import) to a radio key. My car has the EWS disabled but the key does come with the transponder chip...
Nice shiny new MOT with no advisories. This was the first one by my usual place. Bought the car last year, it’s a Japanese import so the MOT was done by the importer. I asked if there was anything to look at and was told “it’s spotless”. I did check it over when I bought it and changed the brake...
