Not been on in ages, so masses of catching up to do, but Really Well done.

Not sure if it's relevant Tom, when I ran LPG cars I replumbed them so the water went to the heater first, rather than the vapouriser first, made the cabin much more toasty. Told by 'Experts' it was stupid, the car wouldn't warm up and the gas would cut out. It didn't, well it did, once, when i went straight from cold onto a dual carriageway at -12C.

Also, I'm planning on the double Din thing too.
Top Tip.
When bending wire, hold it with the pliers and bend with your thumb, gives a much tighter bend. If you hold the wire and bend with the pliers, you get a sloppy bend that can slip out of the locating bracket.
I'll take some pics and show the difference. I should also be able to lend you a pair of proper wire bending pliers if I can find my spare set.
Cheers Iain. I'll remember that! Might grab a slightly tired centre console to hack about in the cold winter months.

Made a start on the new motor this aft, separating it from its gearbox. This is the rear motor from the Outlander. Not notionally any more powerful yet somehow a lot beefier and certainly heavier!

I'll add more details down the line but quick request: does anyone have an old clutch they could part with? I need the centre to make up a new coupler. Have posted in the wanted section as well. Otherwise it's dumpster diving for me this weekend!

I also have a spare console to hack about, if I get to it before you do yours I can make you a set of cables.

That’s hard stainless wire, bend on the left is holding the wire and bending with pliers. The one on the right is holding the wire with pliers and bending with a thumb. Much tighter bend that doesn’t slip out, I can’t remember what car it was we had loads of problems with. Previous owner replaced a cable badly.
Really needs pliers like these;

That YouTube thing seems to have gone down pretty well so I've done another one. The YouTube editor's still doing its thing as I write so the length is wrong (it's only 12 minutes really), but take a look. No Z3 content in this one I'm afraid. Instead I head over the Pennines to have a drive of my friend Jamie's electric Beetle and try to work out why our cars cut out.

If you don’t already know it.
Your car is one of the feature cars in next months PPC, Practical Performance Car, out Dec 30th.
Described as a Tesla troubling Z1 though.

Immortalised in print 😀

One of the few readable from cover to cover magazines left.
My oldest lad is a photographer, he’s had quite a few cars featured in various mags, I’ll ask if there’s anything else he could get your cars featured in.

The MOT fail video shows a RH drive Z3 but in this one it looks like a LH ??.
Brilliant project, look forward to seeing your progress.
Trick of the camera! One of them flips the screen when you're using the front facing camera and I keep forgetting to reverse it in the edit.

Oooh - amazing! Maybe wait until it's pretty. Still trying to find a garage to do the body swap in.

Tom... flipping the video would not put your left arm closer to the door and would not show you starting the car with your left hand, cmon tell all , love your project :D:D:D
