And that's for just one lie. Trumps bill is going to be enormous. But then, he can't tell the difference between the truth and anything else.I just read on an Orlando news page that VW have admitted trying to cheat the emissions rules in the USA and will pay $4.3B.

What!, you mean he's a dishonest politician Ian.And that's for just one lie. Trumps bill is going to be enormous. But then, he can't tell the difference between the truth and anything else.

Where did you read it please? I'm surprised that Mercedes haven't been mentioned because the Vito has been untestable for years. They don't rev above 2,200 when stationary same as the VW's etc.It would seem Fiat/Chrysler are up next if what I've just read is true.
Was on BBC 10 o'clock news last night. Now, how likely is it that any Fiat sourced ECUs find their way into Chryslers?Cheers for that mate!
Tony.
You can only Rev a car/vehicle as fast as it will allow you to Ian. If you cannot produce a result through the emissions tester we have some forms the RMI advised us to fill out and keep in the paper copies of results for the required 3 months. Was on BBC 10 o'clock news last night. Didn't realise these cars wouldn't rev above 2.2k revs. Actually a reasonable limit to prevent clutch burn-out and stop people using necessary revs, but not why its there I suspect. I presume you have to put an advisory in in the same way that I frequently get because of under engine trays preventing inspection.
I thought that was only when they are cold Tony, I'm sure my Vito will rev fully when warm! Hmmm....going to have to test this (not now though)Where did you read it please?
