Nope no jack at all. I guess the thinking is that you have got to the place that does the new tyre/repair so they do it by that point. You do get a couple of spanners and a tow hook which is handy if you should get stuck in a gravel trap, or in mud on a field which is when i have used it :D

Surely there's a jack so you can change a tyre yourself. Would have thought tool kit would be standard across range.

Sorry was on the S10 forum working out how to change the diff oil :D

I can't actually photograph, mine as you know :p

There is a moulding for it in the boot but they weren't supplied with the cars so it's quite likely someone put one in yours afterwards ;)

What's the point of taking the wheel off at the side of the road if you have nothing else to put on? :D

Why do you have to be at the side of the road with a flat... you might want to change a wheel in your garage.

you're already 2 - 1 down Hornel from the start of this thread :D :ymbringiton:

Excuse me Sir, one does not change ones own brake pads on an M, one takes it to the BMW trained technicians and they do it for you.

I remember reading all the press about not having the spare. It upset the 50:50 weight distribution and they calculated how many times you actually got a flat and so went with the inflation kit.

Snoops - If you're inclined to take the tyre off in your garage then i think BMW assumed you would have the jack already :D

Is there anything to undo the wheel nuts even, i don't remember if there is?

Aren't the jacking points used by the lifts in the service bays? ;)

Lovin this...

Just looked in M3.........no jack.!

Z has a wheel brace though. reason for asking was a plastic clip and nut with nothing to hold lying in the kit area?

I think the plastic mould in the boot is fairly standard across the range so has the space for a jack but never a jack supplied as standard :D

Still waiting for Hornel - has he gone to sleep now? :D
