That's good then mate. A couple of years ago we went down to Hunstanton to pick up our Gary's VW van and on the way back not far before Swineshead Bridge I got flashed by a camera. I never heard a thing from the Police and I wondered if our Villa add which is plastered across the tailgate glass of my Touareg may have had an effect on the camera as it's done in chrome lettering.

Not all the cameras are loaded with film Tony. It used to be that if it did not do a double flash then you were safe.

Yes, I was flashed (by a camera) on the M5 years ago but never heard anything

I know where there is one near Lincoln which has never been "live" as I was told this by a Fireman (fighter to be pc) who drove the truck.

To be honest Bill I think it did double flash as I was looking for it. I did get done one a few years ago heading into Blackpool.I thought the double was to get a picture on each of the lines, which was how they measured you speed.

UPDATE ABOUT YESTERDAY'S UPDATE THAT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED!!!
I'm in the union at work and although I need to confirm this today they pay fines if your a member so that may soften the blow a bit. Also I've been told that I may be offered a speed awareness course instead of taking the points but that's offered in cetain circumstances and I don't know as yet what the parameters are. I was 10mph over.

Not a good day at the office. Got back to the yard this afternoon to be given a letter from Cambridgeshire Police asking me to contribute to the expenses pot and while they were offering they have given me 3 points as well! B******!!!! .
