UPDATE:

I pulled down the old garage and sold the container. I then started the retaining wall with the first of 4 levels. Today they just laid the concrete and note how smooth the finish is. The concrete is dry as a bone by the way! Power and water will be in the shed. It has 3 bays for the cars and 1 bay will be built in for storage of tools and such.

Looks to be about the same size as mine but I have all open and will be adding high shelving, I have 10' walls, for storage. Looks good! JIM

I have just done converting my garage to a car area and a woodworking area. The upper floor goes up and down on electric motors to optimise head clearance :smug:

I love that idea!! Woodworking is my passion and taught Jr and Sr high for about 7 years in the 90's while going to university for my BED. Then Canadapost pulled the plug on my retraining and basically forced me back to work. Nothing better than taking a rough cut board and turning it into a functioning or art object. JIMJIM

NO PIT?????????????????
Are you allowed pits? Canada banned the use after to many died in fires except in regulated oil change only businesses. I had a close friend that barely survived being trapped in a fuel fire and only survived after a major hospital stay and surgeries when his wife noticed the smoke and got in the truck and moved it enough to pull him out. They never determined the cause!! JIM practicing staying on topic.
So are you ready to accept my challenge which can be seen in the fourty days and fourty nights thread by POG? It's for a great cause so please read it and send in your number of days, minutes or seconds cuz it starts at midnight tonight my time. JIM

I have a double garage which holds 1 car, so when I need to work the poor old Z gets turfed out into the elements sometimes overnight if needs be.

No Frankie, read the fourty nights thread by POG. Hugh hasn't sent me the cd or voicemail of him, enunciating very clearly, singing the anthem. So until then I'm stopped till then. Personally after reviewing the vid in his post with 69,999 ( the guy in the green woolie isn't singing) Welshman singing together I surmise none of them really know the words. JIM

I had a single garage when we bought the house but it was one of those old prefab ones and it leaked like a siv. So I got rid and built this......30 ft long by 10ft wide by 9" 10" high. I've never done any building work in my life so enjoyed the challenge. I built it to house the caravan when we had one so the Zed looks rather lost in it. Other two cars sit on the drive for ease in the morning.

Looks like this now tho. Sectioned the back off to become a wood store for the log burner, shipped lapped the sides in and put some gates up to stop my dogs pi**ing up Reggie's wheels!
