I was thing radiator grill - Doh!
Think I'd rather have something between me and the stuff in the back. Would;t want it joining me up front.
I'm an engineering surveyor so usually only carry my PPE and small hand tools and inspection equipment that I keep in my bag. There's nothing I carry that sits much higher than 500mm.
I agree with you though, that if I was carrying anything bulky, I'd put the grill back on top of the bulkhead

Thanks Andy
That link is very useful and from what I understand from it I should be fine installing a car port/canopy.....which would make life so much easier.
Would be able to work on/ wash the cars even when it's raining.
I trust you've got back to Blighty ok then ?

Steve
Yeah, long journey time though. It would be so much more exciting if airlines flew at 100 feet and threw in the odd barrel role. Bored to death

Best way to fly is asleep (unless of course you are the pilot!). Noise cancelling headphones essential. I also now have some ear-plugs that cut noise by >35dB. Will be giving those a try.
Which time zone is your head in at the moment?

Agreed, I'm normally asleep at "wheels up" stage but it's never like a proper kip though.

Its the big stuff that hurts -
Thankfully I'm not on site that often, and when I am its not usually needing PPE - Only need a hard hat and High-Viz. Both fit in the spare wheel space in the boot. If there's a climb on a mast then you don't want to be caught in the drop zone without the HH. An accidentally dropped bolt can kill up to 100m or more out from the mast - they hit something then bounce out - Ouch.
