You'll have a blast, my road to work for the best part of 13 years was the road from Killin to Perth. Let me know when you about.

It's a wonder the schools are open ......
They normally close at the first sight of snow :)
Because of health and safety ;)

WHAT?? If they did that here the kids wouldn't go to school more than a few days a year. They keep them in at recess and lunch if it's -30c and the school buses don't go if -35c. But the school's open for those kids that can make it in and all staff is expected to show up. JIM

Your whole infrastructure is built around the expected winter, our winter is a lottery and the cost to equip for the worst every year is prohibitive, but that leaves us exposed, and that's not a pretty sight ( so I've been told)

Do you use winter tires in the UK. It's amazing the difference they make braking and starting off. JIM
I have used winter tyres on my work vehicle for the first time this year, cannot believe the difference they make.

Either give us a good coating like this or don't bother... At least 4 inches last year!

As you can see no zed in view, I actually got to work on this morning in the Zed (left it up road the night before). took me over an hour to travel 7 miles (Mostly Sideways) not another car on the roads, got to work no show on anyone else so back home for a unexpected day off, Dug the Zed into a pull in just up the road, went back the following day and snowplough had buried it, Took me an hour to dig it out again, the Joys of winter motoring.
