Just got back from picking up the re-furb wheels. Oh joy! What a difference. I'm really pleased with them.
Tyre's refitted and wheels balanced all for £140. Don't know if that is a 'normal' sort of price, but I don't care! He has done a brilliant job on them.
To top it all, I made a new friend. My mate and I stopped off at our favorite mobile breakfast bar to fill our rumbling tummies and there in the car park was a new Z4 2.0 convertible hardtop, looking resplendent in the sun. We had a good look around it and then went to get our breakfast buns. A question was asked by one of the ladies behind the counter; "Why were you looking at that car?" I replied that I owned a Z4 and was just admiring it. "Oh, well, that one is mine!" She went on to say that she absolutely loved it and admitted that she 'floored' it whenever she was able to! Good for her:thumbsup:.
Anyway, I told her about the forum so you might be getting a new member!
Colin.

Good price on the refurbished alloys!

I'd say that's an excellent price:thumbsup:. What type of refurbishment did you get on which type of wheel?

I will be posting some photo's, but I have had to stay in today as I am waiting for a delivery from DHL that has to be signed for. What is it?? A rear right, brake pad wear sensor that cost all of £12 or thereabouts. Why couldn't they just post it in a 'Jiffy' bag. It's now gone 2pm and still not arrived...Arrrgghhh!!

Edit. I had better explain: My Zed is on a friends drive, about 3 miles away. I'm on a main road and, although there is a car park, it's not ideal for doing repairs or maintenance. Also, he has a lovely large driveway:thumbsup:

Try changing a snapped Citroen Saxo GTI driveshaft on a saturday on Morrisons main car park... got some funny looks that day.

nope. In Telford,
I got a call from my stranded son whose car was no longer moveable... How did it get to the parking space and break whilst parked? I asked

He should have got a proper car like your other son. What's a Saxo GTI anyway? No wonder you had problems changing it, parts must be rare for them Saxo GTI's
