My Z4 ........................... My Way (Part 2).

They look very nice Tony.

Thanks Dawn. The previous 2 Zs had them so it was just a matter of time.

In preparation for another day, as the paint came this morning, and not next week as I was advised, I got these a first coat of rust prevention.

They'll get another one tomorrow.

Tomorrow didn't happen but today did. I had a brainwave too.
I used one of the pads for the lift as a turntable to put a 2nd coat of paint on the discs.

All bits here ready for next week when Shirl and friend head over to the villa. Looking forward to fitting Discs, Pads, Stainless Steel hoses and a doing fluid change.

Tony....
Have you used slotted and grooved discs before? I like the look but have always avoided them due to stories I've heard of them being prone to squealing and also potentially cracking around the holes.

Yes, I used the same make on my previous car, an E85 3.0i. Didn't have any adverse issues. Braking was much improved and I did also fit S/S hoses.

Tony.

Nah mate, Ladies only this trip. 2 potters good enough for me.:) I may have a couple of other jobs need doing anyway.

Tony.

This last couple of weeks I've noticed the windscreen washers getting "lazy" and starting to smell a bit funky. Yesterday afternoon the shopping detail brought me some of this.

The pump filters were almost blocked solid with gunk when I took the bottle out.

Washed the bottle with some bleach.

I'll put it all back together today and run some of the Milton through it to kill the bacteria.
