@hard top I worked with a guy years ago who used to work for BOAC in Saudi Arabia, he had such in innocent face and used to come home with arms full of watches under a long sleeved shirt! Plus various other electronic toys.
@oldcarman I remember the shock of seeing the armed security at Sanford airport for the first time, a bit of an eye opener. This was before they appeared at Manchester too.

Tony.

Joan near crapped herself when the first Shepard came a sniffing by and them she saw the handlers weapon! Thought I was cashing in her insurance policy for sure. Now you have it everywhere, they trust no one and I'm okay with that. I don't do anything illegal to worry about! JIM

@FRANKIE I thought a Stromboli was a small guitar like thing that transformed into an umbrella? Go figure!! Great post though! JIM
When I worked on the cruise ship for Caesars, we passed the island of Stromboli around the 'heel' of Italy. At that time, there was an active volcano there. It was rumbling a bit but nothing major. As we passed the island, some of the dealers went out on deck to see it. I had just tapped on to a Roulette table and couldn't go out to see it until my next break which was an hour away. I was really aggravated because we would be well past it by then. When my break finally came, I went out on deck to see what I could. The island was now several miles back but you could still see the top of the volcano (about 11 PM) , bright red from the color in side the opening. While I was looking at it, it began to rumble a bit. What ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED ME WAS THE SOUND. While it was many miles away, the rumbling sounded like it was right next to me!!!!!!! What fxxking Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing I've ever seen or heard has even come REMOTELY close to that. You'd think you were standing right on top of the damn thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not something to be fooled with. A BIG LESSON in life. Frankide
