Though I'd better do some updates:

Bought some AC Schnitzers for winter tyre use:

had them stripped. and powder coated in Gunmetal for a different look:

Then some distance shots:

But then to break up the dark I added some highlights:

So I decided on a suspension refresh and went with the Strongflex bushes which are the same hardness as, but a lot cheaper than, Powerflex bushes: Fronts only at this moment:

also some new coilovers, with Meyle front and rear top mounts, Lemforder wishbones, and drop links.

and whilst under there with my new Jack thingy:

...... I also took off the wheel arch liners, and coated with a nice shiny Hamerite paint.. :D

Then eventually got around to fitting these:

after having them sprayed along with the front bumper (stonechip city)

and using a different take on the M gills as follows using plastidip:

The bumper had mesh fitted and now looks like this:

From a distance with summer wheels back on:

and some close ups:

Now I have this to fit when I can find time:

Superb looking Z3! The gunmetal ACs really suit the car! What make are the rim protectors?

Rimblades, can be obtained online in lots of different colours..
Not only do they protect the newly finished wheels, but if the wheels already have some kerbing, it would hide it!

@gookah those wheels look absolutely like they should live on that car. I envious they're going to be winter wheels though!! Nice job on all of it, JIM

Pete, that is awesome . You wouldn't want to be holding a coffee while winding it up though...

@Lee - we soo need one of these in your garage :p. We could set a new record for the time between rolling in to the garage, and the sub-frame being on the work bench.

One for the winter months then. A great bit of kit. A mate who works for himself has a slightly larger hydraulic type of this ramp. They cost about £3000 but very useful. I might get one when I retire from work.

Tony.
