That sounds right, which is a lot more than '..a very few cars.' So all the 3.0 and 23i cars between 2009 and 2011 inclusive?

Anybody had any work done by Sytner BMW Nottingham? I would be very reluctant to take my zed to my local BMW dealer, Stratstone Derby, after what they did with the last car I took there for a recall. Worst garage experience I've ever had and I've been around a long time.

They just phoned me and I was told they hadn't come loose or anything so they just changed the bolts! all good. pick up tomorrow. Obviously if they had come lose and actually detached then the engine would be knackered!
I assume they'll give some sort of warranty following these re=calls?

Booked in, Cotswold BMW say it will only be a day.
Do they have a time limit Niall? Maybe I should contact Sopers and get a date to take mine in. I’m away for a bit yet.

Well, I haven't had any letters yet and mine is a 2010 23i.
Don't think its all 2.3's. Mine isn't on list checked two dealers and also on here https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/footer/quick-links/bmw-vehicle-recalls.html

Don't pick mine up until later this week but just called Sytner Sheffield to get it booked in - it's a June 2011 produced 23i.
Fortunately they had availability next week so it goes in on the 25th and they only need it for the day
Previously used them for a warranty replacement of the roof panel on a 2009 E89 I owned.

Looks like a lot are having their recall appointments cancelled due to the relevant parts not being available.
I do wonder if that's true on the basis the job only entails replacement of the vanos screws
So having had my recall appointment cancelled due to the afore mentioned lack of parts I got a call back from Sytner yesterday to say the necessary parts are now back in stock - so mines booked in for the 31st which was their next available appointment
