Yes I can fully understand your comment.
I went with my daughter to change her A4 vert for an A3 vert. First the salesman said he could not get the spec of her A4 from his records despite them selling her the car 2 years before . Then we got into discussions about the details of the music system in the car ( don't ask me completely tone deaf, but involved iPhones ) after various discussions I suggested salesman got someone you knew the product. My daughter had previously contacted Audi uk who had to refer her music quirqy back to Germany.
In the end we sorted out what she wanted, explained car was to be bought buy the company.
The salesman then asked who he should contact in her company to proceed, daughter explained she was making her own decision. At this point the Sales manager arrived, short conversation ,realised who my daughter was and took over the discussions.
She actually put £19,000 of extras onto the A3 very.
His attitude was different. The deal was done and my daughter was happy
I will add a few points
I did not know you can spend that mutch on music system, never hear it with roof of Zeedie.
My daughter prefers that dealership, just down road from her office , very good service, they collect car from office then bring it back. In honesty what I have seen service is very good.
Her budget was the same as a male staff member who had bought a Audi A8 the previous day ,daughter likes small cars.
I considered it very rude ( could use other terms) the attitude from salesman towards my daughter, she told me to calm down.
