Hi @Sir Percival . You been keeping tabs on the DNA Ferrari situation? Looks like your car may become rarer than you would have imagined. I assume you are not building for resale but for personal pleasure.

When you do come to sell - it might be worth quite a few pennies :)

Yeah, I would not have wished it on them, I think it's quite unfair really......but every cloud as they say.....at least I should always get back my outlay....and how many cars can you say that about?:)

Not been on for a while. As the car was roadworthy my wife and I have been making the most of the sunshine, taking every opportunity for some top-down cruising.

Its been great fun, lots of smiles and pleasant remarks about the car, lots of chats in car parks, waves and thumbs up from other cars, and a nice feeling whilst out and about.

BUT all good things have to end, and I shall be placing the car on SORN from tomorrow......time to get on with the interior over the winter months.

I am both sad, that I can't drive it for up to 6 months....and excited, that, hopefully, the next time I do, the interior should attract similar comments to the outside.

I cannot tell you how pleased I will be to get the door cards finally fitted...at the moment every time I go round a roundabout at any sort of speed my internal door handle falls off, as it's not yet pinned.

so here we go again....gulp :nailbiting:

I have also cut down the seat belt posts and fitted new plates to hold the inertia reels. This allows the rear bulkhead cover to fit over the top. Pictures soon.

But it is yours for you Sir P :)

That is some price and I wonder if it is too inflated. On the very positive side it does show that your decision to be an early customer of DNA was inspired !

Lovely car. My rebody will be pretty average in comparison (I’m building a Kobra instead).
Mine is not a negative. It will be what I want to build and I’m happy with my choices so far /)

What were the biggest giveaways Paul (apart from the quarter-lights, that you can't do anything about) ?

Probably a bit unfair being a Z3 anorak, Interior mirror, roof latches, clutch/brake @ accelerator pedals and interior windscreen surround. It was a nice job and with what was probably equivalent to a nut and bolt restoration but 80k seemed very rich, saying that some of the prices of the true excotic was ridiculous DB5 £675,000 Dino £345,000 Etype £350,000 to name a few.
