I think it's time to change the title of this thread to 'build up pictures'.
And we need more pictures!
Can't wait to see it, can't believe it's nearly a year since I loaded bits of it in a van back to Kent!
Blimey, yeah nearly a year. You are right I should change the thread title really. I will get some more snaps soon, it's just been tanking it down here so she has stayed tucked up in the garage, but now I have the front bonnet grill done and the boot handle and trim bits and pieces, I will take some more as soon as she gets rolled out again.

We are down for Zfest, might even have some of the inside done by then.

Fitted new gas struts on the boot (took all of about 10 minutes....easiest job yet!)....what a difference...you can now open it to any position and it will stay put and it makes it so much easier to lift.

I'm not worried about it coming down on me when fully open anymore either.....a real bargain at £25 for the two.

The old ones had no pressure left in them at all....just moved in and out with zero resistance.

Oh and fitted the new Nardi wheel....took a bit of fettling but no problem really...self-cancel still works...horn push works fine too....it does look so much better.

Yep....don't forget, can't post the airbag module though.
Yes I do know that. Couple of things, Will it fit a 1997 Z3? What is the condition of the wheel? Do you have a photograph? Finally what are you looking for in way of cost. Are you going to Zedfest? Andy

yes, should fit a 97...mine is a 98. Condition - good but used. Yes - going to Zfest....why don't I bring it with me, air bag as well, you can have a look, see if its OK, then we can strike a deal or not.

As to price....I will get back to you shortly...but don't worry I'm not Dick Turpin!

Been working on the interior for the last three weeks. Now got the interior door handles moved and the window winders (that operate the electric windows) installed and operational. Got the first door card fitted, perfect, looked lovely....then realised the door won't shut because the top of the card touches the side of the dashboard.

This will be solved when the new dash gets fitted, but in the meantime means that the door card has had to come off again...shame cause it looked so good....but there we are. I will have to run it with the door cards off until I start the interior in earnest in the autumn.

In the meantime I want to make the most of the two months tax I have left and enjoy some top down sunshine. At least the cards should now be a quick-fit when I am ready.
