    Instrument cluster code EEP_1

I am not too bothered about the mileage being wrong. Can you tell me if I fitted a second hand hand instrument cluster if it would work without doing anything to it?

    Instrument cluster code EEP_1

I have this code EEP_1 where the mileage should be. Also petrol gauge, temperature gauge and rev counter are not working. I`ve searched the internet and it seems like the best option is to replace the cluster with one that is working. I`ve read t-tony`s how to guide on removing the cluster and...

    Replacement rear window

DrWong, see how Steve and I get on with fitting ours. I would imagine OEM windows will have the same issue with starting the zip off in the right place. BMW instructions say you can have a tolerance of plus or minus one tooth on the zipper which implies there isn`t an exact starting point. I`ve...

    Replacement rear window

Hi Steve, mine came in under 3 days. Very happy with quality. Unfortunately I have to do it outside so I`m waiting for the promise of a dry day which is looking like this thursday down here. Looked at all the videos and they make it look so easy but I`ve not been seduced by them. Fingers crossed...

    Replacement rear window

I hope it is. From previous posts I've read it seems the trick is to get the zip started in the right place so you don't have to start again. Fingers crossed.

Rocker box oil leak issue 3.0

Unfortunately I have arthritis in my finger joints and now have to pay someone to do work on my car but the mechanic I use I trust. I will mention your comments about the sealant in those places to him. Unfortunately it`s about the worst place to be able to see exactly where it`s leaking from.

Rocker box oil leak issue 3.0

I agree, there`s nothing else oil related in that area at the rear of the head.

Rocker box oil leak issue 3.0

I had a new gasket fitted about a year ago but have a leak again which is dripping onto the exhaust. Am I just unlucky and had a bad gasket or might there be an issue with the crankcase - ventilation/oil separator system causing pressure in the system. Has anyone had this issue? Is there any...

Don`t forget it will need tracking again if you do the bushes.

    Self centreing

In my experience worn lollipop bushes can cause this issue and can quickly ruin your tyres. I`d have thought they`d have spotted that though when tracking your car.

    Seat belt guide question

Thanks Ken, it`s not the guide that needs replacing but that answers my query perfectly. The stitching across the middle of the seat base leather has come apart so I need to take the leather completely off to have it restitched.

    Seat belt guide question

I need to remove the leather cover off the seat to repair it and also sort the non working heating. My question is is the guide just fastened to the leather and doesn`t need to be removed to be able to remove the cover? Thanks Alec

    Header tank leak

Thanks Colb, I`d looked at that diagram, mines a 2000 3.0, and that`s what was confusing me as some of the ebay ones were using that part number and the vehicle check was showing it fitted mine. The MEYLE one didn`t appear to have anything underneath so I`ll go for that. Incidentally are you...
