I think it's the valve clearances- the normal engines do not need valve clearances adjusting but the M engines do.Guess its the labour to do the gearbox and diff (or can they be done while on the car?).
Keeping everything crossed for you Stacey , it has your name written on it already.yes watch this space it will be a yay or nay on Saturday
Had the dealer warmed the car up before you arrived?Has you all know I had a look at the Dakar m for Stacy on my way home from work on Thursday, met Gary the owner at Morrison hillsbough just as it was starting to get dark would have preferred to have seen it in the daylight.By what I could see the body work is in good condition and the interior as well under the bonnet the engine was warm so could not listen to the vanos from cold but on tickover it ran smooth,on taking on a run the car felt nice and tight on the road with plenty of get up and go as it should.Gary has had some work done eg new clutch, two front calipers, discs and pads also a ns bottom arm and bush. The bonnet as been painted due to stone chips but I think it as been changed at some time when I was looking under the bonnet some paint had rubbed off and I could see some red paint under it Gary says if it as been changed it as been done before he bought it the mirror bases will also need re painting not mint but with a bit of tlc I think will make a nice car unless I have missed something which mark and lee pick up next Saturday when they go to see it in daylight also a bit of movement price wise I think cheers tony.
Thanks for looking @yocky z3 2.0. I'm sure between myself and @Lee we will pull it apartHas you all know I had a look at the Dakar m for Stacy on my way home from work on Thursday, met Gary the owner at Morrison hillsbough just as it was starting to get dark would have preferred to have seen it in the daylight.By what I could see the body work is in good condition and the interior as well under the bonnet the engine was warm so could not listen to the vanos from cold but on tickover it ran smooth,on taking on a run the car felt nice and tight on the road with plenty of get up and go as it should.Gary has had some work done eg new clutch, two front calipers, discs and pads also a ns bottom arm and bush.
