Hello,
I would like to change the original radio with a modern one on my 2007's Z4 E85 (phase 2).
But of course the wiring of the new radio is generic : I have the description of each wire of the new radio, but not the wiring on the car's side.

Picture of the wiring of the car :

I have the following options :
S662 - Radio BMW Business CD
S672 - Cd Changer Bmw For 6 Cds
S677 - HiFi system Professional DSP
But NOT the screen & nav on the top of the dashboard.

I've searched through the forum but I didn't find a post describing the wiring.
Does anybody have a wiring diagram or a description of what is the use of each cable ?

Thanks !

Pretty much what Althulas said, I’m probably looking at doing the same and proper Iso connector will retain the steering wheel controls.

I’ve rewired several stereos into modern cars, I don’t do it any longer because there’s often not enough wire to get decent access, all the one connectors in one place is really bulky to hide. Main reason though is an Iso is just click-click and it’s done.
I tried fitting a Bluetooth module to the e85 yesterday, didn’t work properly, but it did make me think “thank f*** I'm not trying to wire this”.

Hello
So I bought an adapter especially made for E85 models :

But it doesn't work... The new radios powers on correctly at 2nd key position, but I have no sound...
I checked twice the wiring and it's done (the adapter and the new radio have description sticked on each cable).

Has anyone faced the same issue ?

Here's how the story ends:
I bought a bluetooth / FM adapter that plugs in the cigarette lighter socket...
:(
