1st car Mk 1 1100 base escort
2nd Mk 1 1300 Sport
3rd Mk 2 1600 Sport

Plus 3 project cars. Yes I used to like them a lot and still do :) However my 4th car was a gorgeous 5 yr old Sierra 2.0Si. Lovely car and mega rare now. I'd had enough of all the weekend spanner work just to keep the Escorts on the road for the following Monday. Never touched a car repair again for 30 years until the Z3s!

Funny that Dave my first car was a1300e escort in purple with a black vinyl roof wish I still had it now happy days
That's cool. My next car is going to be that colour again - if my plans come to fruition.

It won't be a 70s Ford though as they go for silly money these days

it was a choice between the Uno turbo and 5 GT turbo. I liked the 5's handling better. It was 18 months old and had plummeted in price after insurances for hot hatches rocketed.
G registered.
I did 55,000 on the first turbo, then I turned the boost up and had 2 more turbo's after that all running too high a boost, but I could wheelspin in 3rd in the dry. Each of them lasted about 10,000 miles.
It was like driving a go kart powered by a rocket.....

Had an oldie in for test today, 20 years old. Boy, they haven't aged that well,. I can't remember the last time I tested one of these.

But to be fair there was no excessive corrosion needing welding.
