I never had the luxury of a pedal car, this was my first roadster in 1966. I have had a convertible ever since. :(

My first one was a Spit too Mike, it was D. Reg. But I never got it on the road as it got flogged and chucked into the pot to buy out plot where we built the bungalow. My next project, an MG Magnette ZB suffered the same fate to help finance building the bungalow. :( It was these events which pushed me to buy my Eunos and if not for that I probably wouldn't be here.

D reg will have been a Mk 2, the one I never owned. I was a Triumph fan for years but in 1990 my ex wife wanted a BMW and we bought the E30 which I only sold this year. In 2008 I decided to buy something more modern with no rust and decided on a Zed. Best decision ever. :)

I too, liked the Spitfire, but fell for 'the poor man's E Type' , so I got a Mk 1 GT6. This was followed by a succession of 'coupes', Mk3 GT6, Celica 2.0, Supra 2.8, MX6 2.5 and so I never had a soft top until I retired.
First roadster, my MX5 Mk 2 1.8.

When I was a lad a bloke in our village had a white GT6 and his wife had a black Herald Vitesse convertible, I used to drool over both of them.

And rightly so Nod. My parents neighbour when I was a lad had a GT6 in the garage. It never moved in all my childhood years.

No they were some cheap things which I kept for autotests and slaloms. I normally had Cosmics on it.

And yes that is a plastic rear window.
Yes, but it was a wrap round plastic window though, Posh!! They are tiny, more so as I get older and I think the doors have shrunk too.

A bit late to join in, I suppose, but what the hell. Just finished a tour of Ulster, spare cash in pocket (no drinking on duty) so I wound up with one of these. Bear in mind it was '77, much more impressive back then. Parked next to one last year, the Z3 made it look tiny.
Nice

My brother has a midget project. The drivers door is off and you can almost flick it like a coin!

This isn't his but it's identical to what he's wanting to achieve.
