My first reg number was 911 TYD on a 1963 Austin A40, bought it for £110 in 1978 sold it in 1982 for £550 to a guy who was going to stick the reg on a Porsche, I've just checked the plate is still in circulation on a Porsche wish I'd kept it can you imagine how much it would fetch now?,
I wanted the cash back then for a deposit for a house & I wasn't using the car I'd gone up market to a Vauxhall Chevette (what a shed that turned out to be)

first car, Opel Manta A, can't remember reg but loved the look of it.

second car, a mk1 mini which I still have the remains of including the logbook (3 letters, 3 number). If only I could get the plate off that and onto the Zed without having to restore the mini! Ideas anyone?

Third car, (still a teenager at this point) Triumph GT6 RNJ150M which I sold in about '89 but is still out their and taxed! Straight six, 2 seat sports car, hmmm sounds familiar and it was Royal Blue! Why on earth it has been painted green now, I really don't know.
