Will this b---y rain ever stop, it feels as though it has done nothing but :rain( for months now, really getting fed up with it, cant wash the zed and worse than that cant even take it for a spin. But onthe good side at least those where the hosepipe ban is still on can get a free rinse :) .

Washed mine in the rain Friday afternoon, and it kindly stopped just as I finished rinsing the shampoo off! Bucketing down again here today...

Wonder how much effect this rain will have on reservoir levels, and the chance of the ban being lifted?

Still no console swap or strut fitted. Unfortunately what I'm saving on fuel is being eaten up by eBay #-o

6 degrees in rain here today. Looking lovely for the afternoon ANZAC parade the town has planned :(.

On the subject of bringing water from areas of the uk to those that don't, someone remarked the canals would be a great way to do it. Wonder why they don't?

Hose pipe bans are still effective in the areas they were introduced, this is due to this being the wrong type of rain wtf. It is not soaking into the ground and now causing the flash floods. It is also now official that this is the wettest April since records began. The next record will be that May is also the wettest as forcast for the next 10 days is the same as it has been for the last 3 weeks.

It's causing real aggro for the Touring Car racing at Thruxton. The recovery truck driver managed to get stuck in the soft grass after recovering a crashed car.... :ymblushing:

Have just come back from the gault, which is a area that is designed to flood, when the water levels are too high. It is already over the river banks and threatening the road. I went in the Land Rover fully expecting to have wade through, as coming back from Rutland yesterday, the river at Earith was very high and has flooded over the banks for about 3 miles, but not yet over the road. :-ss
What I don't understand is that the River Authority will open the flood gates at Denver and waste all that water by letting it out into the Wash, when it is so urgently needed elsewhere. Why can't they divert it???? :-\

:rain( Weather reporter's comment on the tle earlier is that "This is the wrong type of rain" Its falling too fast now and there for washing over the ground not having time to sink into it.........What can you say about that!!!
We will have to change the soft tops and get us a :car)
