Nothing wrong with red nice colour for me. Mines a black beauty lovely when cleaned, polished and waxed but half hour later just a dust magnet! I don't think I would have a black car again just shows dirt far to quickly the same a white. I do love the metalic grey colour as well which will show shine but be a bit more forgiving showing the dirt.

It's red, drive it and don't worry about other people's views. It may well suit your wife better in some eyes but it's your eyes that matter so get out there and drive it!! JIM
