@Mrs Mint many thanks. Full report and photos pending, win the big one or not there's always room for Zedding. Looking forward to May should be a hoot especially if the sun is out.@Andy McDonnell have a great time, we went to Las Vegas as part of our honeymoon many years ago
We went to the Grand Canyon from there for a helicopter ride - fantastic
Just like you we set ourselves a budget for a little go on the slot machines, it's definitely not about what you win but the experience, took in a show as well. Enjoy
Look forward to hearing all about it when we see you, unless you win big and are never seen again lol
Stay away from the slot machines. If you must play them, play the poker video machines. Remember, there are 2 types of table games, games of chance like craps and roulette, and games of skill, like blackjack. If you play blackjack, first download now a strategy card from a web site called "The Wizard of Odds". It's free. Poker table games are fun. Stay away from the poker room where they play Texas Holdem. There will be expert players looking for you. The poker games you should play (you shouldn't play any of them) are the 'heads up' games where it's you against the dealer and not the other players. Three card poker can be very fun. Four card poker, Caribbean Stud, Texas holdem, Ultimate Texas holdem, Let it Ride, Mississippi Stud, and a new game based on only a flush (I forget the name of it), take some experience and you won't be there long enough. We never had 'War'. It isn''t so good, My wife deals it at Borgata and she said if you win, leave right away or you will lose. Everyone thinks they can win at Roulette but its one of the best holds for the casino. If you're playing it and you win right away, leave as soon as you are up. Never chase your money. Always, Always, Always quit if you're ahead. Stay away from Craps. It takes a dealer 800 hours of dealing before he really understands the game. If you fall into horse s*** before you happen to go into the casino, then maybe you can try craps. Ask the dealer's help. There is no one thing about craps you can't understand easily, it's just that you have to know everything at once. Pai Gow poker is a very nice relaxing game. Its a 7 card poker game where you make a 2 card hand and a 5 card hand. You have to beat the dealer with both hands to win or lose both hands to the dealer to lose. Anything else is a push (tie). At first, you can ask the dealer to set your hand 'houseways'. He cannot cheat you in any way and must set the hand according to the rules. I highly recommend this game above all others as, while you might lose, it will take a long time, longer that most any other game. Look for low limit tables when you play. If you're doing good, you can always increase your bet. Get rated as perhaps you can ask for a comp for dinner and they might give it to you. Its better than nothing. They make you a Total Rewards card to use. Thanks Tony. Everything you have stated is all booked and paid for and we're in Ceasars Palace. Fast and furious, just as it should be for Vegas.
Yeah, that's the appeal for me. Larger than life excess and in your face, hence just the 5 days. Flat out. Hoping the weather holdsI arranged my stag do to Vegas, amazing fun, stayed at the Paris and wandered through most of the Casinos/hotels, the Rugby Union Rugby 7s were on at the same time and saw some of the players out! Massive!
The only problem was our Canyon helicopter flight was cancelled due to poor weather, sadly we will just have to go back another time!
Never been anywhere quite like it!
Breakfast buffet at Caesar's Palace was something else!
Same thing happened to us too Andy. We were booked to be picked up from Ceasars at 8.30 but we got a call saying there was some issues with the aircraft. Anyway they said we would get to go and sure enough we got collected late in the afternoon. The late day light lit up the Canyon walls just like the early morning sun, so was amazing just the same. One problem was the sun low in the sky meant it was slightly difficult to get some pictures. BUT, what we did get was a flight down the Strip at dark with all the Neon lights on, well worth it.our Canyon helicopter flight was cancelled
We didn't 'book/plan' much, watched an ice-hockey match, in town, then planned a big night out, but ended up in an Irish bar just outside and much to the amusement of the locals got trollied and singing and generally a bit messy, most of us were asleep at some point during dinner!Yeah, that's the appeal for me. Larger than life excess and in your face, hence just the 5 days. Flat out. Hoping the weather holds

Ask around if there are any dealers who dealt in Atlantic City. They might remember me. Frank Tofini. Good luck to you and go on line to investigate any games you might be interested in first to get a feeling for them so you don't look like an idiot when you sit down at a table game on the casino floor. Don't gamble online!!! Frankie
GO TO THE GRAND CANYON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yeah, that's the appeal for me. Larger than life excess and in your face, hence just the 5 days. Flat out. Hoping the weather holds
We had 4 nights Andy, if/when we go back more planning will be done. We didn't get up to the Old Strip, wish we had. Sorry mate, just meaning every cloud has a silver lining. When you get back ((30 odd years) don't worry if your flight is late in the day.Nothing like rubbing it in mate!
