For a UK road trip, consider hitting the scenic routes like the Cotswolds or the Scottish Highlands.

Just stumbled upon this thread and it's got me buzzing with excitement! Planning a road trip in the UK is like having a treasure map with endless hidden gems waiting to be discovered. From the rugged coasts of Cornwall to the breathtaking peaks of the Scottish Highlands, there's something for every type of adventurer out there.

When it comes to accommodation near me, I'm all about that cozy B&B vibe or a quirky countryside cottage. Nothing beats waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the smell of a hearty English breakfast cooking up nearby. Plus, it's a great way to support local businesses and really immerse yourself in the community.

As for road trip ideas, count me in for a cruise along the stunning North Coast 500 in Scotland. With its winding roads, picturesque villages, and jaw-dropping landscapes, it's like something out of a fairy tale.

Depends where you're starting from, if from the south of England you could do the Cotswolds, Peak District, North Wales, The Lake District, West Coast of Scotland, across and down to Edinburgh, South to Northumberland, the Yorkshire Dales, Lincolnshire, Suffolk/Norfolk Coast (forget London), zip across Country then back down South Via the Cotswolds.

That should make a nice weekend out. The car's going to take some cleaning after, though. And I know just the man.

One that you could was one of my first.

All the bridges across the Thames. We did the ones outside the M25...

The previous week, they had done the ones inside the M25 - which included a few "tunnel runs".

I've done a tunnel run that attracted well over 100 cars. That was mental, and I would be surprised if it would be tolerated now :racecar: 🤪
