Well just to add fuel to the fire Steve, a fellow member has asked me to help out with some bits on her Z3.
"Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn Nearside front ?????"
Steering wheel has movement relative to the column indicating movement (doesn't say excessive?)

And to add insult to injury he/she couldn't be arsed to even sign this official document. Makes my F******g blood boil, w******s like that get all testers a bad name.

Tony.

Oooohhhhh I'd love to do that to a set of tyres on a track day, must be so rewarding when you look at them at the end of the day

Some people just don’t even look at anything on their car unless it breaks. :(
No sense of preventative care or maintenance

@mmm-five got to see some pics of the M5 :D

I was really surprised recently when I removed the rear wheels , and saw how badly worn the tyres were on the insides, I could not see this with the wheels on without actually lying down.
So from now on its on knees to check them.
The tyre on the Punto throws a point about should a car be allowed to be driven away from a Test Station.

A couple of years before retiring I was party to an argument between our Plant Manager and one of the company owners---the front tyres on his 7 series were bald , he had tyres on order for a few weeks but they were still on Back Order ,and he insisted on using the car until they came in. My Plant Manager was pointing out that not only was it dangerous but as Transport Manager he was responsible.
It was also surprising how often we would find cars/vans with bald tyres---all the driver had to do was call in any ats who would sort matters out. This was still occurring after we had to complete a condition form each 2 weeks.

I wonder what the other tyres were like on the Audi and which wheel that one came off. Doesn’t take long to completely wreck a tyre at speed, especially if it’s been on a long journey, heavily laden, under inflated and already worn tyre.
That said, new tyres are much cheaper than new wheels.

And of course what a lot of fleet drivers fail to understand is that as they are driving they are responsible.

Yes But so is the Transport Manager and the company
On one occasion a lot of the company personnel were involved in a Saturday morning meeting over safety.
The Transport Manager unknowingly to anyone had ats send a couple of fitters up to check while meeting in progress, and it was surprising how many cars/vans had tyre troubles.
One of the fitters vans was requiring 5 tyres out of the 6 on the Transit.
ats had a late finish sorting it all out.
