Very true let's hope so, as for moaning i don't do it out loud i just beat myself up on how inconsiderate some people are, bit like when i open a door for someone and they walk straight past without a word...THANK YOU,
I know what you mean, very few people these days acknowledge any small consideration. Makes you wonder if you are out of step with the world. However a gentleman will always be a gentleman.

Except there are those that don't want the courtesy extended to them @EnthuZiaZT. I had women give me an earful for opening and holding a door for them. " I'm totally capable of opening a door myself" is their battlecry!! Go figure! JIM

I am with @MidlifeZ on that photo of the Z4, that is not defensive parking in a car park like that one, that is idiot parking.
A car will park up next to him in the empty bay (properly) and the passenger will climb out and ding the Z's drivers door.

I like people opening a door for me :p
And I always say thank you :)
I also hold the door open for other people too ....... ;)
But if I don't get a thank you it really winds me up :)
Manners cost nothing ;)
