I bought some Turtle wax Ceramic wash and wax shampoo on Tuesday and gave it a try. I first washed the zed with my usual Halfords shampoo as the car was quite grubby. Then I followed the instructions to the letter and washed the car using a microfibre washing glove and rinsed the car afterwards.
Water definitely beaded off the car better after the Turtle Wax shampoo and it was noticeable quicker to dry with my chamois leather. The pic of the beading was taken this afternoon after three days of commuting to work every day, about 10 miles each way on grubby b roads. I am happy so far and will be using it again soon. £18 is a lot for a car shampoo and you need to be quite generous with it if you follow the instructions to the letter. Given the difficulty in waxing my zed in the winter months as it it is kept outside this looks the next best way to protect my zed. So far I am very happy with the results particularly as I have always been very sceptical about shampoos that claim to add a protective covering to the paintwork.
I used to use Autoglym bodywork conditioner shampoo
I used to think this was good till I started using the ultra HD stuff even though a fair bit more expensive in my eyes a far better product and worth the extra cost.
I have been driving about 25 miles a day since first washing the zed with hybrid ceramic wash and wax. I re washed it about a week ago. Today leaving work in the rain I noticed some fantastic beading, so far I am very impressed with it and think its worth the extra cost particularly as my car is used nearly every day. It does seem to build up each time I wash and gives it that just waxed look.
