My sport is archery, I can get my Olympic recurve bag and my field archery trad bow in the boot, but my compound bow case is too long to go in, and has to go in the passenger seat. I can only get the longbows in with the roof down. Mind you for a lot of the field archery venues, I can't take the zed anyway without ripping the bottom out of it on the access roads.

Target rifle used to be my sport, I was in the GB team for close on twenty years, and spent a few as a GB coach, I took up archery when I retired from shooting. No way could I get any of my shooting kit in the Zed (or any sports car).

Will there be a similar number on those mate, in the same place? I'm going to have them all out in the garage tomorrow and apply some 3 in 1 oil. The Airsporter felt very tight when I "cocked" it earlier, and I haven't used any of them for a good few years.

Tony.

ps. Tom, @DelGue apologies for hijacking your "Boot" thread mate.
No worries, Tony. I enjoyed the info you were posting!

They certainly look like Cadet's. Here are the Cadet details

A Cadet .177 1945 - 1946
B Cadet .177 1946 - 1947
BA Cadet .177 1947 - 1951
BC Cadet .177 1951 - 1962
C Cadet Major .177 1947 - 1949
CA Cadet Major .177 1949 - 1955
CC Cadet Major .177 1955 - 1962
I got one stripped today Garry, the other will have to wait until after I've done my Jury service (2 days max. hopefully).
This is the number.

BC28419 so 1951 to 1962 so at least 57 yrs old then mate and if it's an early one it's older than me or you. I used to have records of how many were produced per year but can't put my hands on it. They didn't start at number 1 so you can't tell from the number itself. Cadet's were great little air rifles and back in the 1950's there were loads of shooting clubs using these in Birmingham, usually in the back rooms of pubs.

I suspect the other one is a bit newer, we'll see.

My buggest regret is guving my Wnchester .30-.30 to my son. Not thaf I regret that, but his ex-wife pawned it after they split up. It was made before the turn of the century, sometime in the 1890s, and worth a lot more than the $100 i paid for it.
