You only have to do 2 things to make it work.

Connect the switch to the connector, which is under the rear switch panel (behind the handbrake). The connector is wrapped in black foam and tied to a metal beam with a black bit of tape.

The other thing is to make sure the power cables are connected to the hard top fitting kit. This is on the passenger side and easy to do once you see where it connects to the body. Wire connectors are already in place. You just unplug from the block already in place and connect to the new bracket.

Only other thing to consider is if you have Facelift or Prefacelift switches as the connectors are different for the rear demister switch.

How do you take that rear panel out? Thinking about it I think mine is a tad loose anyway but never managed to fully remove it. Does it just pull up?

Yep, just pull it up. There is a retaining bracket on the other side of the Centre console side which the top side clips into.

It's brand new, still in its box as the one in the 3.0 (and still is ) was not the correct switch. The part no. is 61318381912.

So after a 290 mile round trip today... the roof has a new home!

It was a pleasure to meet you both and your gorgeous cat!
Amazing how much of a difference the hardtop makes to wind noise whilst on the motorway, or perhaps my roof seals are just in a worse condition!

Now I just need to find the time to wash the rest of the car to match it in cleanliness..
