just do...if you work it out its virtually free motoring once you buy one.
its only ever going to go up in price..classic insurance... and not that much more to maintain than a normal Zed.
the only downside is getting some of the parts...but hey thats classic cars
I'd love to but it would mean taking on debt to finance it,been debt free for a few years now and it feels good......worked myself in to the ground to get it all paid off though.......but i could always start an "M" savings pot

handling wise tho...they really do keep you on your toes ....its very easy to get the rear to step out.....however you can balance the handling so it becomes more neutral ......and when you get that corner just right theres not much that will stay with you.....then the next time you try it it just spits you off like your not worthy to be in their hahaha

No mate....I did have the "M" badge on the boot that was on when i got the car but i removed it cus i didn't want the "M" rozzers after me :nailbiting:
If you have the funds to buy one go for it.....and when you get banned I'll look after it for you ;)
I get the same offer from one of my mates every time we go over to Florida Steve, funny that.;)

Can I go off the topic for a question? Its about speed so is linked in a way! I was driving home last night after it was really dark
outside, on my way I had the car coming toward me flash his lights and indicate that a mobile van was just up the road.
With head lights on I always thought that the speed camera couldn't pick up the number plate at night.
Did anyone else think this??

I'm not too sure. I guess the boys in blue wouldn't want something like that widely known. A similar thing happened to me coming back past Boston in my Touareg when I passed a camera I definitely got flashed but I never heard anything from the police and I wondered if it had anything to do with my rear window being almost covered with an add for our villa in Chrome lettering? maybe reflecting the flash back to the camera?

This wasn't a static camera though with a flash it was a mobile van!!!

Swamper believes this is so! something new to me will have to be more aware now even at night.:(

Just put a foreign plate on the car. Got zapped loads of times when over in the UK, especially on the M25, I saw the camera go off in my rear view mirror a couple of times when my mate, following me with a Dutch plate, also got zapped.
Driving back with a hang over after a wedding in Scotland and in a rush not miss the ferry, the boys in blue pulled up along side me and gave me a hand signal to slow down, that was it......
The powers that be can't be bothered to send the fine abroad.
