I almost bought a Jensen I found over here a few years back

I think the picture above is a Merc?

Front fenders are a bit 300SL/190SL

It's a Jensen 541R. took it's styling cues from the Merc 300SL

Correct, didn't look with my glasses on! You can tell it's a 541 by the rear window. The later CV8 had a more restrained rear, but much the same overall design.
