Here's some exciting news, we have so much more room for activities
As you may know for the last 8 years we've done at least 60+ Zed rebuilds in a single garage. During that time we've made one or two udeful contacts, and with one of those contacts we've managed to find a new home. This comes with plenty of space and a couple of two post lifts for our use. We are also next door to a classic car restoration company and have the use of their facilities in the arrangement. We should be able to do some pictures of some of the beautiful cars he has in at some stage, he's got some real metal in there and you'll spot one in the pictures (and that isn't even the most impressive car there!).
We spent today moving the first loads of tools, equipment and our current project Z4 in. Tomorrow we complete the move and this will be our new location for the foreseeable future.
Sadly it's not open access for anyone to just drop in without notice due to the location, parking is also a little tight and we have to be considerate to other users (and animal life) at the location. It does mean we can work on more than one car at a time so our productivity will be through the roof!
So here's some pics for you! What you see is effectively our working area, but the lift on the left will be shared with the classic car guy when we aren't in there.
The area on the right has a roller shutter and was previously a spray booth, soon to be storage and lounge area.
We've got some organising to do in this area, more racking and making a rest area for tea breaks.
We also have the use of this, here you see our highly trained operator @Oldguysrule bringing in a refurbished Z4 subframe from the van.
