So on the basis out is out and heated seats are for puffs I reached for the ice scraper this morning to make my escape - there is also significant snow forecast for the Peak District and surrounding areas from this afternoon so I thought it was now or never 🤣

Usual route - out over Owler Bar and down to Baslow then through Great Longstone up to Monsal Head and back past Mam Tor through Castleton and Hathersage :coolsteer)

Regarding heated seats, I’ve rediscovered the joy of fabric trim. Damn it’s nice.
Funny you should mention that - I saw a set of these on a car at Zedfest Northwest the other year and thought they looked good.

Suffice to say I've recently been browsing the usual sites for a set in good condition so if you get any in for breaking just let me know 👍

I’m all Z3’d out atm. 😂

I don’t get the fascination with leather. Unless it’s proper Connolly hide, it’s nasty. 100+ years ago, horse drawn carriages had velvet seat trim in the back and the peasant operating the horse sat on leather.

Now has the fancy name of 'alcantara'.

The leather on most modern car seats is paper thin, poor quality, the grain is put on with a machine and it is treated with a myriad of chemicals to make it last.

My Audi has some fancy name seat covering. It's a posh name for vinyl!

I’m really struggling with the look of the black wheels. To my eyes, the car looks like a military vehicle, especially with the tyres being a bit dirty with the road grime. Great drive out to make the most of the conditions while you can!

It does have an ‘off road’ air about it. I was the same initially but I quite like it now.

Good to see you out and about Garrie. As you say 'out is out' even with little or no view and I did a bit of Zedding today too. Our daily is in a grump and failed to start having been subjected to -10 degC here so had to take Mrs M to Tesco before the snow hits.;)

Good analogy - it's all clean now but I can definitely see what you mean with the military reference 👍

Exactly and it's growing on me too - I particularly like the 205/55 tyres. It certainly feels like it has more of a go anywhere attitude than the previous Zed's I've owned, albeit they certainly went just to someone else 🤣

Don't let on how practical they are or everyone will jump on the bandwagon 🤣

Musk lying again....
If it isn't leather, it must be derived from a plastic. Plastic is oil based. Oil comes from liquid dinosaurs, which were animals! ;)

Leather/Meat creators are vegetarians ie cows eat grass and convert to meat, sheeps eat grass and convert to meat, horses eat grass and convert to steak, pig eat alsorts of sh1te and convert to bacon / chops / gammon / ham. All of them deposit fertiliser for vegetables to grow. Therefore there is no such thing as a vegetarian, let alone those of lesser intellect aka vegans. Simples  ;)
