please put me down as a definite for this. Love the lakes, never been in the Z. Have accommodation in Ings so not far from the starting point I don't think.

@Sean d I think there's a few stopping in a hotel somewhere in this thread. I'll have a look. Failing that I still have a double air bed going spare if you wish?

Sean d..you might want to check out The Watermill in Ings. for some reason cannot attach link. Have stayed there a couple of times in the past and was nice.AND its got its own micro brewery attached. not that I'm suggesting drinking and driving. food was good also. It was the first time I had venison in chocolate gravy. Thought I'd try something new and it was great
