Not as often as I used to. I was a member of a club over here that started in the late 80's with a 12 hole course and then went on to become an 18 hole that I bought a share in and was a member of the business club but I sold up in 2003 as I was not there often enough due to working abroad.
You sold you share !!! Nooooooo

Count me in with the 'Golfers' on here.

Strange we should be talking golf on here today - I had my second Hole in One this morning. 7th hole, Grange Park GC, Rotherham. Playing at 135yds, 8 iron Callaway X-20, Srixon ball. The ball has been retired along with the first one I had a couple of years ago.

It's something I've been thinking about for a while..............so...........I'd say great idea. Let's see how many show interest via this post and see if a centrally located course can be found that a worthwhile number will attend.

Thanks by the way. My first was a complete fluke but now I have one I can feel more proud of. They say the first is the hardest but very players only have JUST one..............like buses, once they come along.

Congratulations @Chipper3 never had the luck myself but do hole out quite often 'putting' off the green with my 7 iron.
Cheers Hard Top.

It was straight into the morning sun, shining off the frost. None of our 4-ball saw it after it pitched, so it possibly went in on the full. I would have loved to have to seen it. No slow motion replays for our game!!

Cmon then what ? Lol
Back to back club championships can't remember which years though think it was 01 & 02. Put end to a 7 year domination from the brother of ex ryder cup star Peter Baker.

Congratulations chipper on your hole in one, it's a fantastic feeling when and if it ever happens. I hope you got the beers in after!

My first hole in one came when I was 14, playing in an event for the local BMW dealership of which my dad had an invite as he purchased a BMW from them, but couldn't enter as he didn't play golf so they allowed me to play instead. It was on the nearest the pin hole, couldn't really get any nearer although it was just a shame they wouldn't allow me the hole in one prize as I was too young and not a professional. Any guesses on what it was?

If members started at late 80's with 12 holes then 18 must have damn near killed em off. Didn't think you were that old but if you had to give up membership because of working a broad, I congratulate you sir!! You are now my idol !! JIM

Nice one...................A new Beemer?

There will be a bottle of whiskey on the first tee next week for all the 'dawn patrol' groups to have a swig at, that's what we do round these parts. Yes, it's a great feeling. Mixed emotions about not seeing it go in - No cheering from the tee but to walk up to the hole and see the ball nestling by the flagpole, quite an adrenaline rush.

A Z4?

Cue the debate over which is THE BEST BMW........
Haha, yes the Z4 was available 16 years ago ;-)

Ok, maybe not the best BMW in some people's eyes but definitely most on the forum. A beautiful Z3 :)
