Aw Pauline, you are very welcome! I can still remember our little chat in Costa about you joining. I'm glad you took the jump and got stuck in...

This site is very addictive too, Pauline, so it is hard when you are only restricted to 30 mins a day at the local library!!! Hopefully we will be moving in on 3rd, but we haven't exchanged yet, so that's not concrete!!

Keep your feet & your chin up, the six weeks will fly by as that is usually the time period you are in plaster for!!

Take care.

Fingers crossed move goes ok. Looking forward to seeing you when your settled.
No plaster, not even a bandage. Honestly I have broken it, I've got the xrays to prove it. Apparently when you break the fibula you just have to rest and not weightbear, going to local hosp tomorrow, who knows they may treat it differently to the hosp in Andorra. Watch this space :)

I'm pretty sure it was the fibula that I broke, mine was plated & I had an air boot rendering it immobile!

Interesting, I've found it really strange that they didn't put anything on to support it. Local hosp tomorrow so we'll see what they say. It's hard trying to keep the leg straight.

Up-date - Back from hospital, A&E consultant said i needed a full leg plaster ie above my knee. You can imagine our reaction to that, definitely no Zedding for me  but he knows best, but does he................... actually no he doesn't. Went to plaster room and the nurse thought it was a bit excessive so looked at xrays again then spoke to orthopaedic doctor who decided that a full leg plaster wasn't needed phew. In fact no plaster at all, just rest and to use crutches. I can even weight-bear a little on my toes if it's not too painful.

So yippee hoping to make the September meets if I can get in and out of the Z, I'll be trying really hard

That's great news Pauline, and probably a big relief too!
Yep just got to convince Dave that I can get in and out of the Z with a little help. I'm sure there are enough strong men on the meets who can help because after all everyone says this a helpful forum, and I never ask for any technical help do I? so i am due some help ;)
