Well @Tearoom How was the drive home ?
It was great Paul.
A lot firmer and more confidence in the corner.
I can even park it on a hill now.
Thanks for all your hard work and coffees
The Zedshed are a great bunch with plenty of banter flying around.

I look forward to some runs next year.

Long overdue update, mainly down to me being away with work for the last week.

The standard arrival chit chat looking around seeing theorder we will finish everything. @mwpe also paid us a visit

Someone took a photo of my new toy from the rear =))

I got cracking doing the brake upgrade, so we went from a solid disc up to a vented 300mm disc.

@Rally couldn't help himself and had to polish something. @Tearoom really wanted his tip polishing.

We also opted for a powerflex bush for ease.

We also replaced the perished rear brake lines as they were looking very cracked. (Not copper lines)

New shocks all round also make the underside look cleaner.

Only hicup we had was the bleeding the rear callipers, I couldn't get any fluid out of the rear offside. So I removed the calliper and put a blank in the feed and pressed the piston in with the bleed open, after a moment a loud pop forced the blockage out the bleed nipple all up the wall =))

Safe to say it was another successful build, luckily for @Tearoom his seat was stuck in the highest position so I couldn't test drive it :D It was a very sedate test drive that's for sure.

Holy thread revival!

Been a fair few years since we've seen Warwick's car. We had spoken earlier in the year about some MOT advisories that need shed intervention, the rear swing arms were beginning to show their age. So in the background we got a set ready to rock. Grit blasted, Hot Zinc coated so they'll never rust then powder coated black.

So we managed to do this one day, I'm quite surprised how much we got done. Usual suspects leading the charge!

Within the first hour the subframe was down.

Was interesting doing a quick turn around job like this.
Image (12).jpeg

In order for this to be done mostly in one day we had two teams on it. One team assembling the new arms while the other team disassembled the old.
Image (9).jpeg

Assembly on the bench, Gaz sporting our Zedshed hoodie.
Image (7).jpeg

Leaving the finished assembly looking like this. This was strange for us as normally everything's new.
Image (5).jpeg

The items we had to replace were the Beam bushes, wheel bearings and backing plates everything else was serviceable to move over.
Image (4).jpeg

Just on the edge of the shot we fitted some of Mazza's finest tank straps. Would be rude not to at this stage. We also decided to make future life working on this car easier by removing the exhaust studs for new bolts.
Image (2).jpeg

All this work was done from 11am-16:30pm not to shabby at all. Just leaves the brake lines to connect up.

This should keep the MOT man happy @Tearoom

“You cant get quicker than kwik fit fitter”???

Oh yes you bloody can !!!!

More brilliant work from the Zedshed Team
Someone at Tanvics once said, "You can't get thicker than a big fat F**ker". I'm sure he used to work at 1/2ords. Might've been some inter company rivalry maybe ................. ;)=))
